LAS VEGAS, NV, January 04, 2011 – Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications and the digital home, today announced that IOGEAR Corporation has selected the PureVu™ CNW5xxx video processors for its next generation retail multimedia streaming devices. Following the successful introduction of its CNW3xxx-based product line in early 2010, IOGEAR is extending its partnership with Cavium to leverage all the benefits of the new CNW5xxx SoC (System-on-a-Chip) family, including higher performance for up to 1080p 3D processing, improved multi-room video quality of service (QoS), and back-channel support for a higher degree of interactivity.
"IOGEAR's legacy is built on bringing customers innovative and market-leading products in a broad range of categories ranging from KVM to USB to the latest wireless streaming technologies," said Douglas Turner, vice president at IOGEAR.
